Beds Made by Hand
From ecological and recycled materials
To give our guests the best possible night's sleep, we provide maximum comfort with the exclusive Naturalmat® beds, which are handmade in Devon (United Kingdom) from materials that are 100% natural and certified ecological.
The bed bases are made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified pine from responsibly-managed forests.
Natural latex is totally hypoallergenic, very elastic, and provides natural ventilation. It is extracted from rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis) and comes from the only certified rubber plantation, which also has GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard) certification.
Organic lambswool from UK Soil Association certified farms in Devon, Dorset and Cornwall. It is treated to repel mites, bedbugs, and clothes moths using only essential oils of lavender, lemon and eucalyptus —without any chemical additives whatsoever.
Organic coir (coconut fibre), to guarantee unparalleled ventilation and excellent support for a healthy and natural sleep experience. The coconut fibre also has GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification.
Unbleached, undyed natural cotton grown under fair trade guidelines and the Oeko-tex 100 standard, free of any chemical substances, helps reduce moisture and sweating by maintaining the right body temperature.
Recycled denim, made from offcuts from the clothing industry by an ingenious process, is used as padding because shredded denim waste is a fibre that is extraordinarily environment-friendly, pleasant and combines firmness and comfort.
